Spectacular crested helm originally appeared in a more primitive form in Greece around 350BC but became popular within the Roman Empire.

Were used by Legionnaires, Centurions and Legates in plain to decorative forms up to 400AD.

This version made from hand worked brass and adorned with handsome leather accents and a horsehair crest fit for the highest ranking officer.

The style appears in many artifacts throughout history.

A must for any re-enactor or collector.

Stand not included.
